Re: Republic of Venezuela
the displacement seems to be a bit on the low side for the sizes given and an draft of about 12 meters, judging from the drawing.
Drawings are credited with J.Scholtens

Re: Republic of Venezuela
The draft is actually about 9 meters and the weight i gave is just temporary because i wasnt too sure about but after looking for information about similar ships i think im going to take it up to 35.000 tons
Re: Republic of Venezuela
Ise class battleship (post-refit):
Displacement: 35,800 tons (standard); 40,169 tons (laden)
Length: 215.8 m
Beam: 31.75 m
Draught: 9.15 m
Propulsion:
Eight oil-fired Kampon boilers
80,000 shaft horsepower (60 MW)
Speed: 25.3 knots (46.9 km/h)
Range: bunkerage: 5,113 tons fuel oil
Complement: 1,370
No one noticed that the drawing too is (altough modified) the Ise class drawing i've made nearly a year ago?

Re: Republic of Venezuela
Yes i used the upper structure of the ise class but the hull and other parts were taken either from part sheets or scratchbuilt
Re: Republic of Venezuela
Don't worry, what i meant is that you used an Ise class drawing and took the specifications of the Ise class, thus for me you did right.KIKE92 wrote:Yes i used the upper structure of the ise class but the hull and other parts were taken either from part sheets or scratchbuilt

Re: Republic of Venezuela
if your draft is 9 meters, it is actually almost spot on (gives an Cb of 0.6, that is similar to for example hood and agincourt)

Re: Republic of Venezuela
So that lives the specifications like this.
Displacement: 35,800 tons (standard); 40,200 tons (laden)
Length: 215.8 m
Beam: 31.75 m
Draught: 9 m
Speed: 25.3 knots (46.9 km/h)
Range: 7412km (4000nm) at 15 knots
Complement: 1,370
Armament:
12 × 15-inch
16 × 5.5-inch
I still dont know what type of propulsion i will use. I was thinking of this:
32,000 horsepower (24 MW)
geared turbines
I would like to hear some ideas if it isnt to much trouble.

Re: Republic of Venezuela
definitely increase your machinery's output, I'd stick to about 75-90/100,000 hp, 25 knots requires a bit of a jump in power from 23 knots
