Yes, out of scale. My best guesses: 1.) you scaled the hatches on the plane to the same as on what would be a ship. In real life, you have to duck down and crawl through them. 2.) you didn't take into account the MAD boom in length. By my rough calculations (mostly by having done this myself), that ...
