Re: FD AU 5
Here's the AU-version of a production model of the P-46A, with some minor modifications, such as 6 wing-mounted .50cal machine guns rather than the initially designed two fuselage-mounted .50cals and as many as 8 wing-mounted .30cals. https://i.imgur.com/MdH9dM0.png Additionally, I've also chosen to ...

Re: FD Aircraft 21
The XP-46 was an attempt by Curtiss to make a superior plane to the P-40. Its performance was not superior enough to the P-40D to warrant further development.

Re: FD AU 5
The B-30 would continue to see improvements in service, such as the D-variant with an extra twin turret mounted on its belly, and the bow-mounted twin turret/bombardiers' position being replaced with a new turret with quad MGs and the bomardier being moved aft, and below with a new window added ...

Re: FD AU 5
Here's my take on turning the XB-30 into a long-range maritime patrol bomber.
And an AU version of the plane with minor changes/addons that better reflect the base bomber in actual service.

Re: Unfinished/Unbuilt ships: Casualties of WW2
When WW2 broke out France was in the process of building one new carrier (Joffre), had one more on order (Painlevé) and was planning to order a third to replace the Bearn.

Re: FD scale Never Built Designs
Here's the XB-30, Lockheeds design for a long-range strategic bomber using the Constellation as a base. The wings and tail-plane was kept, and an entirely new fuselage was designed for them. A total of 10 .50 cal M2s were used as defensive armament.

You don't find the Ganguts (especially the rebuilds) incredibly sexy?

Imperial German never-weres
So far I have made two (one more in the works) German battleship designs. Two are for fast battleships and one is for a battleship with triple turrets in a superfiring arrangemnt. First up is a rather large fast battleship design from Blohm und Voss armed with 10x35cm guns and looks a lot like the ...

Re: Real, but Fictional Ships
Here comes another wave for this thread. Starting with the TA50, the Commandanti Margottini, the only one of the Commandanti class destroyer to be launched. As the name Torpedoboot Ausland denoted, this is if it had been vompleted by the Germans (and German-leaning Italians) with German equipment ...
