Your 22" gun look smaller that the 18" Guns. I think they would be much bigger. I think the scale of the ship would have to larger.

I think you are trying to fit the sketch. We all know that was a pipe dream. I would try to make this as close as the original sketch. After that then start doing modifications that you think might improve the the pipe dream. for know it is looking closer to the sketch as each time.
